I started my studio, Shot of Elegance, in 2002. Working as a professional photographer has brought immense joy into my life. It provides an opportunity to meet people and share and be part of their most precious moments.

The love I feel for my children, my family, and my God have shaped and carried over to my work. Over time I have my appreciation for the beauty of children has grown. I wanted a way to share this love and joy with everyone.

AnnieDesmond.com grew out of this desire. It is a collection of some of my favorite photos over the last few years and is a celebration of childhood.

The Push

What finally pushed me to actually put this site together was some missionary work we did in Haiti. I was horrified by the abject poverty we encountered there. No matter what hardships you face in your everyday life, little prepares you for what you encounter there. It was while I was in Haiti that I met Miche-Carline and Tamara. These two sisters show such spirit and love for everyone. I when I left the orphanage, I couldn't bear the thought of leaving them behind.

It is my hope that the sale of these prints will help me afford to adopt these two wonderful girls

The Prints

I believe these prints would be beautiful in any number of settings including pediatricians' and obstetricians' offices, nurseries and day cares, as well as in the home. If you have a location where children are appreciated, please consider adding one or more of these prints to your decor.

Unless "Ready to Frame" is requested, all prints come ready to hang mounted on 3/8" art foam with the edges finished and black.
